“We Name Ourselves” is a declaration of lineage, cultural pride, unity, self-definition, and hope. It affirms our right as Foundational Black Americans to honor our ancestors, preserve our history, define our identity, and pursue the American dream our lineage helped build. Loving who we are is not hatred toward anyone else. Our pride is not prejudice, our history is not negotiable, and our voices will not be silenced. We name ourselves.
